My Realistic Prime Day Haul

Now that Prime Day is gone, do you want to see my realistic haul? Don’t get me wrong, one of my favorite things during Prime Day is to see what all my favorite creators are posting as their “must haves”. Then I proceed to contemplate for 2 days on “should I get that now?”. And then I get texts from my mom, my aunt, my cousin, and my girlfriends with the items in their cart, which also sparks “oh shoot, should I get that now?”.

Thankfully, Prime Day gives me an opportunity to stock up on some essentials that are not as fun to show for on any regular day. I believe my brother has purchased trash bags before on Prime Day and that was it! Simple? Yes. Genius? Of course! We don’t have to spend an arm and a leg every time there is a mass deal happening-it is all about just finding the right balance of what you need and what is something that you’ve been wanting to get. We love balance here!

For me, I have been needing these Jane Iredale Compact Cases FOR YEARS. I have been using Jane Iredale powder for a long time (a recommendation from my fabulous aunt) and I cannot say enough good things about the makeup. They are smart to sell the powders, blushes, and bronzers as refillables because it saves you money in the end and it is less waste. I have just been incredibly lazy and just have not gotten around to actually buying the compacts. My powders have been sitting in their boxes and I take them out and put them back every time I use them. This was my treat to myself and I am so excited to have these on my doorstep…tomorrow!!! Plus, they each come with a mirror and a magnetic closure-yay!

Then I decided to grab one other item that I’ve seen a lot of other PCOS girlies love and that is the MaryRuth Organics Nighttime liquid multimineral supplement. I’ve been drawn to this brand because I am not the biggest fan of taking pills and wanted to give a liquid version a try. I love the zinc, selenium, and magnesium levels too because all have been shown to potentially improve some of the symptoms/side effects of PCOS. Mainly, looking at improving blood sugar and hormone balance. If it gives me a chance for any additional improvement, I will take it! Now, I am on a prenatal now and I did a careful comparison to make sure I am not double dosing on any of the ingredients. We love making sure that we’re not overdoing it 🙂 . I will do a review onceI get it because I am very interested in the taste.

That’s it! Just two little prezzies for myself. One was a “ I have been needing this for years” and the other is “I’ve been influenced but I feel justified because it’s for my health.” Nothing crazy-just kept it simple. But did the Samsung Frame TVdeal look amazing? Yes…maybe next year 😉 .

Cheers and Happy Shopping! -Melanie
