What a busy summer so far! I’ve been on a few trips, had lots of busy work days, and got a chance to try out a few new staples that I’ve become surprisingly obsessed with. Check out what I’ve been reaching for time and time again all summer and hopefully you find some new favorites too!
I will just start out by saying that I have lived in this shirt (seen above too) over the past few months. It offers a subtle crop top fit that is more relaxed, but still structured nicely with its 100% cotton make-up. What I love most about this shirt is the ROOM it offers (you can tell it was inspired by their men’s t-shirt fit). I am obviously blessed in the chest and sometimes a plain cotton t-shirt just doesn’t do it for me. But this tee makes me feel confident and cutesy enough to own it in nearly every color. And for reference, I wear an XL.
I rarely wear sneakers because I am a flip flop girl but with my plantar fasciitis issue this summer and July being my “boot month”, I had to be a little more intentional with my footwear. I was able to snag these Brooks Ghost running shoes on sale at REI and my word, my feet are so happy. They offer a nice bounce and as the name hints to, it is a very light shoe. But also, besties please remember to stretch your calves and feet.
The amount of joy that I get out of my weekend outings to The Human Bean is immeasurable. I am lucky enough to live by a few local locations and every single one of them is fantastic. The staff is top tier and my current iced nonfat latte fixation is constantly and reliably perfect. And they give you a chocolate covered espresso bean with your drink!
With the summer heat, which really will last until the end of September, sometimes I don’t want any compression from my athleisure wear. These biker shorts have been great for my WFH job, weekend errands, or any nice casual setting. These come in a pack of three and are super affordable. I ignored the wash directions and did toss in the dryer (not my norm, just felt a little daring) and haven’t had any issues. But if you do prefer to air dry, they take no time at all.
